We wish you to honor us at the opening exhibition of the international project Deka'dans: The Aesthetics of Destruction, carried out by artimu.org under the direction of Istanbul Medeniyet University, in collaboration with Universidad de Zaragoza, Sakarya University and Universitat Politècnica de València.

Within the scope of the project, twelve artworks produced by thirteen artists in the genre of video and photography will be exhibited in four different cities. The first of these exhibitions will be opened by Istanbul Medeniyet University on 13 June at the Ziraat Bank Library of Istanbul Medeniyet University at 13.00. The exhibition, which will continue on 21 June at Sakarya University, will continue on 27 June at Veles e Vents in Valencia and on 01 July at the Teruel Campus Exhibition Area of the University of Zaragoza.

Another output of the project is a book titled Deka'dans: The Aesthetics of Destruction, in which the artists discussed the production processes and the subject of their artworks.In addition, the book, which will be published both in print and online, will be available very soon at artimu.org/book/dekadans.

The project discusses the social and individual problems experienced in the transition from the mass life of the industrial society to the speculative world of the information society. While generally speaking and thinking about restructuring and construction in transformation processes; In this project, it is exhibited and expressed that descent, fall and destruction also have a burning beauty in itself, and that this beauty is possible with hope. With the claim that "self can find itself in its ruins", the works in the exhibitions deal with the processes of disintegration, separation, decline and destruction in a cultural, scientific, urban and existential nature.
